Presidential Bank Remains Profitable and Well-Capitalized
November, 2008 - In an open letter to customers, President & CEO Bruce Cleveland reassures customers that the bank is solid and did not invest in the GSEs or toxic securities that led to the current financial crisis. The bank’s prudent approach to management and oversight helped it avoid the difficulties facing many other financial institutions today. A New Look for Presidential's Online Banking Service
October, 2008 - Presidential's Online Banking service has adopted a new look while retaining the same secure service you've come to trust. The design uses many of the most common and useful design elements of popular web designs. Customers should find it easy to use and intuitive. Additionally, there are several additional services available to help your online banking experience be more comprehensive.
The redesign also brings the most used features forward for easier access and less clicking. Online Banking’s main page now offers one-click access to BillPayer, Funds Transfers, Check & Deposit Images, Export Data, and Stop Payments to name a few.
Your access to Online Banking has not changed, although it may be necessary to re-bookmark the page depending on your browser. To gain first-time access to the Log-in page, visit www.presidential.com and click on the “Personal Online Banking” button in the upper middle of the home page.

This service provider utilizes state-of-art technology and employs a dedicated team of world class researchers and security analysts who monitor our networks in real-time 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With this strategic partnership, Presidential remains at the forefront of protecting customer information and privacy.

March, 2008 - As the nation’s first online bank, Presidential Bank continually looks for technological ways to make banking easier. In addition to being the first bank enabling customers to open accounts online, Presidential offered one of the first Online Banking account access systems along with an online archival system for account statements. We also instituted an online check and deposit image system that is second-to-none. Each of these services was developed as a separate system requiring unique login access by customers…until now!
Beginning March 31, 2008, customers will access Current Account Activity, Historical Statements, and Check & Deposit Images with a single, secure login. With one easy login, customers will have better control of account information.
All account information, current and archival, will be available using the same login process currently used for Current Account Activity. From our homepage, www.presidential.com, customers will click the “Current Account Activity” button to direct them to the login page. Once logged in, customers have access to Current Account Information, Historical Statements, Check & Deposit Images plus many other services. To find Historical Statements or Check & Deposit Images, customers will click on the “Products & Services” tab near the top. We encourage customers to look through and take advantage of all services within Online Banking.
The Online Banking service is FREE for all consumer and commercial checking or savings accounts. For customers not registered for this FREE service, click the “Enroll Now” link on the login page.

January, 2008 - During the first two weeks of December, Presidential Bank hosted holiday receptions for customers and guests in four Washington, DC, metro area branches. Nearly 300 were welcomed by President & CEO Bruce Cleveland, Executive Vice President & CFO David Erickson and other officers of the bank. Along with hors d’oeuvres, wine & cheese, sumptuous desserts and other beverages, Presidential officers and staff conveyed deep appreciation for customers’ continued patronage for over 20 years.
Several in attendance opened accounts the first year of business, 1985. Many commented on the professional and caring service received over the years. Some recent customers shared stories of being ambassadors for Presidential, telling family, friends and co-workers about our top tier products and great customer service. Needless to say, Presidential’s officers and staff were grateful and humbled by the kind words. It was a great time of holiday cheer and good feeling for all.
